Beauty Secrets: Korean Deep Cleansing Method

I’m sure we all want to go to the spa and pamper our skin whenever we want to but often times, we aren’t able to find the time or money to go to the spa regularly. Here is a skincare remedy that has been really popular in Korea lately! It’s super cheap and quick so it’s easy to try!

Beauty How To: Make a Monolid look like a Double Eyelid

I know many Asian girls really want to have double eyelids. We go from eyelid tape, to eyelid glue, to even double eyelid surgery in order to obtain this extra crease on our eyelids. BTW if you're thinking of ever doing double eyelid surgery, it's actually worse for your eye if you regularly use eyelid glue because it makes the eyelid skin droop.
Here is a way to create a shadow on  your eyelid using makeup to give you that illusion of an extra crease!
P.S. GaIn is hands down one of my FAVORITE celebrities with monolids.

Happy Easter.

Happy Easter everyone!
I seriously hope everyone had a blessed day today.
I just wanted to update you guys on a couple of things.
I know many of you guys know that in Korea right now, there has been a tragic incident regarding the Sewol ferry that was carrying about 400 passengers. The ferry somehow began to sink and currently there are about 280 high school students that are missing.
I know this may just sound like a news update and may not matter in many of your lives but to me, it really hit me hard. One of my best friend's sister was in that ferry and her sister has still not been found.
I find it hard for me to update on makeup when my friend is mourning over her sister.
I will try to update but please do understand if updates are not as frequent.
but please. do keep South Korea in your prayers.

Beauty Secrets: 5 Tips to Natural Korean Beauty

Looking at the music charts in Korea, right now the charts are dominated by both Akdong Musician and IU with High 4. I found that both IU and Soohyun from Akdong Musician, unlike the usual K-POP stars with heavy eyeliner and mascara, have a very natural makeup look. I wanted to give a few tips on how to recreate the natural and innocent makeup look.

Review: The Face Shop Mango Seed Facial Butter

Many people in Korea actually refer to this product as the "Suzy Butter" because Suzy from Miss A is the main sponsor of The Face Shop. I actually opened up this product a couple of weeks ago but forgot about it and came back to it a couple days ago. I'm just wondering... why oh why did I forget this product? This product is absolutely amazing for dry skin but not as much for combination/oily skin.

Laneige Skincare Haul

I was so excited when I heard that they would be selling Laneige products at Target now! Go check out your nearest Target if you live in America and you're interested in the products mentioned below. I recently went to Target and headed straight for their makeup section in order to pick up a couple of Laneige products! I ended up getting the Deep Pore Cleansing Foam and the Water Sleeping Mask.

Korean Cooking: Soft Tofu Soup

One of my most favorite Korean stews is soft tofu soup. I love LOVE LOVE spicy foods so I enjoy making all my food super spicy but if you don't like spicy food, just take out some of the spicy ingredients.

If you are not fond of any of the ingredients that I use, you can always substitute the ingredients for anything you want.

DIY: Aloe Mask

One my friends grow an Aloe plant in our dorm and well.... it wasn't doing too well... The plant started to droop down because it wasn't getting enough sunlight so we decided to make a mask out of the plant since all of our skin needed some nourishment.  Sorry Eep the plant. We needed your moisture.

Review: Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Eyeshadow

One of my favorite Korean makeup brands is Too Cool For School. I really like this brand not necessarily because of the products themselves but because the packaging for this brand is absolutely adorable. They have the most unique ways of packaging their products without making them look too feminine. Today I will be reviewing the Dinoplatz eyeshadow on platiron in #2 Peach Gold.

Weekly Favorites: Green Tea Konjac Sponge

For some reason, I've been breaking out these days so I decided to try out the Green Tea Konjac Sponge. I don't really know if it stopped my breakouts but I definitely did enjoy the sponge a lot because of it's gentle nature.

Beauty How To: Remove Makeup

I know that we all enjoy putting makeup on but I think the most important thing when it comes to makeup is understanding how to actually remove it. No matter how many skin care products we use, if we don't thoroughly remove our makeup first, the skin care products will have no use. I've decided to start a series where I share simple tips and tricks to some of the newer makeup junkies, the first one being How To Remove Makeup.
